Program Overview

Beginner Divisions

4 Year Old Red Bat League

League for boys and girls age 4
The goal of the 4 year old whiffle based division is to teach the fundamentals of the game to young players.
Run for 6 weeks starting in May
Parent led program (volunteers required)

 

Tee Ball

T-Ball Instructional Baseball/Softball Division for boys and girls age 5, as well as first year 6 year olds.
The goal of T-Ball is to teach the fundamentals of the game to young players.
T-Ball teams practice one night a week on a designated day for an hour.
Games are held on Saturdays starting in April. Games last one hour.
All players bat in an inning. Fundamentals and skills are stressed week to week.
Coaches will reach out to players on their teams in April and a schedule will be provided after that.


Baseball Divisions

Rookie Baseball

The Rookie Baseball Instructional Division is for 7 and 8 year old boys and girls. Some 8 year old players may be asked to move up to Minors with EOB approval.
Teams typically will practice once a week and play two games a week during the season. Standings are not official and there are no playoffs.
The league is a coach pitch league.
There is no base stealing during games, and time will be called when the ball is controlled by a fielder in the infield.
Assessments are held in mid-March, then a draft to assign players to a team, and coaches will reach out after that with an introduction, schedule, etc.  

Minor Baseball

The Minor Baseball Instructional Division is for 9 and 10 year old boys and girls.  Some 10 year old players may be asked to move up to Majors with EOB approval.
The teams practice once a week and will play two games a week. At the end of the season, a short playoff series will be held to determine the league champion.
All regular little league rules are followed at this level.
Assessments are held in mid-March, then a draft to assign players to a team, and coaches will reach out after that with an introduction, schedule, etc.  

 Major Baseball

The Major Baseball Division is for 11 and 12 year old boys and girls. 
Teams will practice at least once a week and play at least two games a week. At the end of the season, a short playoff series will be held to determine the league champion.
All regular Little League rules are followed at this level.
Assessments are held in mid-March, then a draft to assign players to a team, and coaches will reach out after that with an introduction, schedule, etc.  

Senior Baseball

The Senior Baseball Division is for 13 to 16 year old boys.
Teams typically will practice once a week and play two to three games a week during the season. The actual schedule and location of the games may change annually depending on the league affiliation of the Senior Baseball Division.
This level follows the standard Senior League rules established by Little League.
Assessments are held separate from the other divisions and usually a little later.  Teams will then be drafted and coaches will reach out.



Softball Divisions

 

7/8 Softball

The 7/8 Softball Instructional Division is for 6 (full season of Tball completed), 7 and 8 year old girls.
Once the scheduled season starts, teams will typically practice once a week and play at least two games a week. This is a player/coach assist pitching league.
This league travels to other local towns in our district to play games against similarly constructed teams.  Standings are not kept and there are no playoffs.
Standard Little League Softball rules are followed.
Assessments are held in mid-March, then a draft to assign players to a team, and coaches will reach out after that with an introduction, schedule, etc.  

9/10 Softball

The 9/10 Softball Division is for 9 and 10 year old girls.

Majors 11/12 Softball

The 11/12 Softball Division is for 11 and 12 year old girls.

Senior Softball

The Senior Softball Division is for 13 to 16 year old girls.
This league travels to other towns within the district to play games against similarly constructed teams.
Players cannot play for the High School and the Senior division at the same time but can play once the High School season is over.
Rules follow the standard Senior League Softball rules established by Little League.
Assessments are not generally held for this division, but coaches will reach out in April with information.
